This was it. The stuff of dreams. Zachary didn't think he would be helping out the league this soon-- but even more so, to explore the worlds connect to our own. And all through this mysterious place. The Great Chasm. He heard about it and read about it-- being a place that was a Nexus that could lead to other worlds. His imagination ran wild with the adventure and possibilities he could see there. It was also home of a new power that dwelled there. The origin of Tera crystals. However, this place was not without danger. Any wrong step-- and he could never return to his world. [break][break] The deeper he was in the caverns, despite the foliage and other natural landscapes inside the caves-- the crystals shimmered so much in the distance, it looked like a rainbow of stars in the ceiling above. [break][break]Luckily, he was not alone. He had his trusty companion Dizzy, his Delphox to light and protect him out at all times. He also had another companion. His Kirlia. Kirlia kept them safe, but also could teleport if the need arose. [break][break] Zachary explored the caves, intending to find the nearest outpost. From there, teleporting would go much, much smoother. However as they looked-- Zachary soon found someone. A fellow member of the league. "Um-- Hello there! I'm Zachary. Are you here exploring too?" the young man said giving a kind smile. Kirlia gave an enthused greeting, while Dizzy, however, kept on guard holding the torch for light. [break][break] [break][break]

Zachary was a bit naive-- but the woman's cheerful demeanor was most welcomed. If anything, Dizzy was the one more on guard-- the Delphox who kept Zachary company. Zachary while a part of the league excursion team-- was also a willing explorerer to this new place. A young, impressionable trainer who technically was in over his head. His affiliation was clear, and was as he looked-- a cocked-eye optimistic and rookie trainer exploring the possibilities of the unknown. [break][break] "Nice to meet you. I'm Zachary Stellar. I'm a new member of the Exploration team. " he said, showing a sincere smile. [break][break] The fact he was so kind and his Pokemon was probably the more serious one, may of given good insight of Zachary's nature. Further, his presence of a psychic Pokemon was indeed a rarity. For a new trainer, he possessed a Delphox, showing he had raised him for a long time. he clearly was a trainer who had some experinece under his belt, but still acted... unworried to the risks around him. [break][break] "So far, I have been working to explore the habitats here. While these crystals are everywhere, there seem to be different types around different enviorment parts. I knew that waterways would be down here-- but not full grown trees or even small forest groves. "I do wonder what these crystals do and why they are so special. But i'm new to all this. Still if any chance this comes from some other world, I'd love to see it." he said with enthusasm[break][break] [break][break]

While the place was indeed tense, Zachary had gotten used to Area Zero, and more so-- being prepared and why they had Kirlia with them. At her question, Zachary tried to be formal but also friendly. He didn't have any alterior motive, but was being a bit reckless being here alone. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he got the feeling she didn't trust him. After his run in with a Rocket down here-- he couldn't blame her for being on guard. [break][break] "Well, there have been odd pokemon running around. Especially one called Gourging Fire-- which is very dangerous. That Moron Ozni almost got killed by one if we didn't save him. " Zachary explained, "But yeah we learned a lot about the Tera crystals down here, along with the other worlds this place connects to. It's a shame we can't explore further... " [break][break] Zachary frowned a bit, knowing he shouldn't of been down here alone... again. "I really shouldn't be here, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. How could I not go exploring the nexus of different worlds here? We already know that these Paradox Pokemon are crossing over here because of it." he said with a smile of excitement. [break][break] Dizzy gave a concerning bark, trying to keep his human partner's excitement tempered. It would be reassuring to Johanna that the Fox pokemon seemed to be the 'voice of reason' here. [break][break] Still, Zachary saw the clear signs of struggle around them. [break][break] To drive home the biggest discovery he had there personally-- was the Terrastellar Phenominon these crystals caused. "The biggest thing is this place is the source of Terrastellar Phanominon in Pokemon. It's so very cool!" Zachary said with enthusiasm, recalling how Dizzy went all 'prismatic foil super-rare' on him. [break][break] [break][break]

The tension of the space soon began to melt-- even with the danger of this place. Of course then came the mention she was a former gym leader. [break][break] The silence here was pretty palpable, as Dizzy too took a step back, wondering what Zachary was thinking. And then it came. [break][break] "Wait-- YOU'RE A FORMER GYM LEADER?!" Zachary shouted, loud enough to cause an echo. [break][break] His eyes almost sparkled with excitement, as she didn't know Zachary's desire was to become a Gym Leader himself. He was on the league circuit now to garner experience and collect more Pokemon to help him-- and of course serve the league. But ultimately, his biggest dream was to be a gym leader. He didn't think he would meet any in Area Zero, even one who was former. "Wow! That is so cool!" He said with excitement. [break][break] "Grrrrmmmm...." Dizzy the Delphox gave a heavy sigh as he shrugged his shoulders and raised his arms, as if to say 'here he goes again...'. [break][break] Zachary regained some composure and soon extended a hand. "Well It's a pleasure to run into you down here. I hope to one day become a full-fledge Gym Leader myself. I'd love the opportunity to do what you did. I honestly been running into a couple of them without knowing it. Do you know Josh Devlin?" Zachary asked, wondering if they knew each other like Elise Calcifet did. [break][break] [break][break]

The bark form Dizzy soon snapped Zachary out of his dreamy state. He blinked, realizing they were not in the best place to discuss things! He didn't mean to loose track, but he knew that the claw marks there were not something to ignore. who knew what lurked there. [break][break] "Eh... maybe we should consider talking about this back at the camp," Zachary said with a nervous laugh. Zachary then examined the markings. He had seen them before. They were the same markings all over the inner cavern. He was very certain they were from the Same Beast. With that into his notes, along with the details of the crystal formations-- perhaps it was a good time to call it quits. [break][break] "I'm glad I met you down here. Let's head back. I can even have us Teleport back if you want, but I rather keep their energy full in the event we need it." Zachary offered, and soon left to turn back with Johanna. At least he got to meet another person who was part of the exhibition party. He was making new contacts and friends very quickly in his time new to Hoenn. [break][break] [break][break]
